Teeth Whitening

are you at your brightest?

What To Expect

Teeth whitening at Focus On Family Dental is a non-invasive procedure that can remove years of stain and colour from your teeth in a single appointment. Our professional in chair teeth whitening treatment will let your smile truly shine. We take the time to talk shades, and how to achieve the best results. So if you’re a coffee addict or red wine lover, let’s work together to reveal that ultra bright smile.

Step 1. Sit Back & Relax

Before we start we will take a number of before photos so you can see the results for yourself. Then, while you’re sitting back and relaxing tuning into Netflix or Spotify with our Bluetooth headphones, we will be busy at work protecting your soft tissues with a soothing vitamin E gel and applying a gingival barrier.

Step 2. Let Us Do The Work

Next up, a hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide solution will be carefully and evenly applied to your teeth. This step is completed four times, with the removal and reapplication of whitening solution. Breaking the whitening process down into intervals ensures your teeth reach the lightest shade possible.

Step 3. Do’s & Don’ts

After the final application of whitening solution is removed, a relief gel is applied to your teeth and another coat of vitamin E gel is smeared on the soft tissues. We then chat all thing’s do’s and don’ts for the next week - Ekkk that’s no coffee or red wine (lucky its only temporary)

Step 4. Post Treatment

But before you go, we arm you with all the goodies and tricks of the trade to ensure your whitening experience is a positive one and you smash your home care goals! A post treatment review is booked for 2 weeks to ensure you are happy with end result!

Not The Zingers

Brief tooth sensitivity is a common side effect of professional teeth whitening. We call it “The Zingers” – brief sharp zaps of sensitivity in a tooth lasting 1-3 seconds, subsiding 1-3 days post treatment. We take no shortcuts at Focus On Family Dental when it comes to preventing sensitivity and “Zingers”. Prior to all whitening appointments, all patients must have an Exam Scale & Clean. This will help minimise the risk of sensitivity by highlighting patients with symptoms or conditions more prone to sensitivity prior to whitening treatment.

We’ve got your covered!
