Hi, I'm Danielle, the proud owner of Focus On Family Dental.
Firstly, thank you for considering us for your dental care. I opened Focus On Family Dental in 2021 with one simple goal – to create a practice where people genuinely feel comfortable, cared for and never judged.
We know that no two patients are the same, so we take the time to listen, understand your concerns and tailor your care to what matters most to you. Whether you're someone who visits the dentist regularly or it's been a little while, we're here to make your experience as relaxed and positive as possible.

Dr Michael O’Leary
Dentist
Michael is a General Dental Practitioner whose philosophy focuses on prevention and minimal intervention dentistry. His clinical expertise includes major oral rehabilitation, endodontics, denture prosthodontics, and dento-alveolar surgery, including implants — providing high-quality care tailored to each patient.
Outside the clinic, Michael is also a commercial pilot.
Kate Johns-Forbes
Oral Health Therapist
With over a decade of experience in the dental field, Kate finds immense joy in her role as an Oral Health Therapist.
Recognizing the importance of continuous learning in providing comprehensive care, Kate has pursued further postgraduate studies to expand her scope of practice, enabling her to cater to adults as well. She remains proactive in attending continuing education events to stay updated with the latest advancements in her field and is currently pursuing her Masters of Clinical Education.
Outside of her professional endeavours, Kate cherishes moments with her loved ones with a passion for food and wine, she eagerly seeks recommendations for new culinary experiences to enjoy!
Dr Iain Douglas
Dentist
Dr. Iain Douglas, a fantastic dentist with over four decades of experience! Graduating from Adelaide University in 1980, Dr. Douglas's career includes service with the Australian Army Dental Corp, being the sole dentist on Norfolk Island, and extensive work in rural Australia.
Iain excels in general dentistry, complex cases, extractions, and emergency work. Patients love his thorough and compassionate approach, always taking the time to explain all treatment options.
Now settled in the beautiful Adelaide Hills with his wife, Dr. Douglas enjoys visiting his children, restoring classic cars, and various hands-on projects. With a wealth of knowledge and a passion for dentistry, Dr. Douglas is a trusted and beloved figure in our community.
Dr Viral Kachiwala

Dr. Kachiwala is a dedicated Dentist with a specialization in Orthodontics, contributing to beautiful smiles across Adelaide, the Eyre Peninsula, and the Fleurieu Peninsula since 2017.
At Focus On Family Dental, Dr. Kachiwala offers a comprehensive range of Orthodontic Treatments, including Braces, Clear Aligners, Expanders, Removable Appliances, and Invisalign.
Originally from Oman, Dr. Kachiwala practiced as an Orthodontist for nine years before relocating to Australia. He has authored scientific articles in esteemed international orthodontic journals and actively participates in professional organizations such as the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), Indian Orthodontic Society (IOS), and Australian Dental Association (ADA).
Beyond his dental expertise, Dr. Kachiwala enjoys savoring good food, watching movies, and staying active through beach runs or park trails.
